Job summary

Singing River Gulfport Hospital is seeking a Radiology Student Tech to assist with ionizing radiation procedures and film development, under supervision. The role supports equipment prep, patient positioning, and routine care in a fast-paced radiology service.

Two levels exist (I and II); applicants must be enrolled in a CAHEA radiology program, have a high school diploma or GED, and complete BCLS. Schedule includes rotating shifts and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be enrolled in a CAHEA/accredited radiology program or equivalent.
• Radiology Student Tech II must have completed 12 months of CAHEA radiology program.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Transports and monitors patients as necessary.
• May perform x-rays under supervision (Radiology Student Tech I) with completed competencies.
• Perform x-rays unsupervised (Radiology Student Tech II) including fluoroscopy and surgery after required competencies.
