Singing River Health System is seeking a Radiology Student Tech I/II at the Singing River Gulfport Hospital. The role involves patient transport, film development, and assisting with radiologic procedures under supervision and with increasing independence as competencies are met.

Education requires a high school diploma or GED and enrollment in a CAHEA-accredited radiology program, plus BCLS certification. Schedule is every other Fri/Sat/Sun 6a-6:30p, at SRHS Gulfport facility.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be enrolled in a CAHEA-accredited radiology program or equivalent.
• Radiology Student Tech II must have completed 12 months of the CAHEA radiological technologist program.
• Must maintain BCLS certification upon hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Transports and monitors patients as necessary.
• Performs x-rays (abdomen, upper and lower extremities) under supervision for Radiology Student Tech I.
• Tech II performs x-rays unsupervised, including fluoroscopy and surgery, with required competencies.
