Salary Range: $69,903.00 To $111,844.00 Annually

Position Summary:

A Radiology Staff Manager is responsible for supervision of staffing, scheduling, and staff Performance Appraisals. The Radiology Staff Manager is innovative, maintains compliance with regulatory standards, provides education to the staff, and provides great communication in the department and with other departments. This position maintains consistent workflow and organization of the imaging department. Must exhibit good independent judgement, initiative, creativity, and team-building skills.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities/Accountabilities):

• Demonstrates knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, Exposure Control Plan, MSDS book, and Safety/Infection Control
• Provides Human Resources with copy of current licenses/registrations prior to expiration date for all department employees
• Organizes daily workload to maintain efficient flow of department activity: daily activity reports, P.S., variances, staffing schedules, etc
• Achieve maximum utilization of time and assets; looks for an opportunity to improve productivity
• Organizes and prioritises workload through appropriate delegation of task to staff
• Communicates between hospital and department staff and disseminates essential information with accuracy to ensure proper patient care and in meeting hospital procedures
• Demonstrates knowledge of and proper usage of equipment
• Understands, interprets, and adheres to hospital policy and procedures
• Displays awareness of department functions and the proper procedures required to utilise those functions
• Assists in planning, coordinating, and conducting in-services and continuing education programs to meet staff needs
• Has the knowledge and technical skills to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• Demonstrates the ability to be an effective leader. Works effectively with others to help them accomplish objectives
• Has ability and training to assist staff in providing high quality and prompt patient care. Demonstrates competency and knowledge in hospital setting to perform after successful training
• Maintains Quality Assurance and PI projects for the imaging department
• With assistance of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the RSO, maintain radiation dose monitoring program in accordance with ALARA principles
• Orders supplies as needed to benefit the patient/technologist environment

Position Requirements:

• Completion of course of study in imaging technology from an approved school
• Registered as a technologist in an imaging modality (multiple registries preferred) or a registered radiology administrator
• Possess excellent communication skills, organisational, and reaching skills to facilitate the building of an effective radiology team
• Good background knowledge of x-ray and imaging modalities
• Three years' experience in supervision/management
• IEMA license
• IDNS license
• ARRT registered

Pay Range:

Pay ranges from $69,903k to 111,844k (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)

Hours: Monday- Friday 7a-330p
