Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Registered Radiologist Assistant (Radiologic Specialist Assistant) for a full-time day shift in New York, NY. The role combines imaging protocoling, patient history gathering, consent, and coordination with physicians to ensure appropriate procedures.

The RRA will perform interventional and diagnostic tasks per competency, document cases, communicate preliminary findings to radiologists, and contribute to teaching, research, and quality improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree required.
ARRT RRA certification within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

Evaluate appropriateness of imaging examinations including protocoling, indications and contraindications.
Explain risks and benefits of procedures and obtain informed consent.
Gather relevant history from referring physicians and review imaging.
Facilitate appropriate procedures as needed and perform interventional and diagnostic tasks per competency.
Communicate preliminary findings to the radiologist for official interpretation.
Document cases and communicate with involved referring physicians pre- and post exam.
Assist students, residents and fellows; contribute to teaching, leadership, and quality improvement.
