Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and produce diagnostic X-Rays as prescribed. This full-time role is primarily based at the Vadnais Heights Campus, with the flexibility to float to Plymouth, Woodbury, Eagan, and Minnetonka, MN.

Mon-Fri shifts; ARRT registration required. Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology and 1–3 years of experience, preferably in a physician practice.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Current ARRT registration is required.
• 1–3 years of X-ray technologist experience preferred, ideally in a physician practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepares rooms and patients for each exam.
• Sets up equipment, exposes images with proper factors.
• Keeps dose to patients as low as possible.
• Maintains supplies and uses a safe, efficient workflow.
• Positions patients and takes X-Rays per physician request.
• Maintains daily log books and monthly reports.
• Ensures correct patient image identification and PACS delivery.
• Cleans and maintains radiographic equipment and performs minor repairs.

The Special Procedures Tech operates radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic X-Rays as prescribed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.

This is a full-time position primarily based at our Vadnais Heights Campus. Must be flexible to float to other Summit locations as needed: Plymouth, Woodbury, Eagan and Minnetonka, MN. Monday - Friday shifts - schedule is TBD at this time. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology with current ARRT registration.

• Prepares rooms and patients, specific to the exam to be performed.
• Properly sets up equipment, trays, supplies, positions patients, and determines proper exposure factors in order to produce high quality images.
• Handles all radiologic equipment safely and properly, keeping dose to patient as low as possible.
• Maintains appropriate supplies in the procedure rooms. Uses an established work pattern to work efficiently and safely within the special procedures setting.
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Positions patients and takes X-Rays of specific parts of the body as requested by the physician.
• Maintains daily log books, and monthly reports as requested/required.
• Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
• Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Summit's hiring range for this position is $39.45 to $49.31 per hour The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation. Education: Associates of Radiologic Technology (required)

Experience

• Previous OR and spine injection experience preferred. (preferred)
• Previous special procedures experience preferred. (preferred)
• One to three years of experience as X-ray technologist, preferably in physician practice environment (preferred)
