Description:This position serves over 7,500 care facilities nationwide.It offers a great working environment and developmental training.Feel accomplished at the end of the day with opportunities to promote yourself and fine-tune your skills.Enjoy autonomy, a variety of patients, and a team that supports you.Responsibilities include providing mobile ultrasound services.Majority of work involves performing exams in various nursing homes, home care facilities, and processing sites.You will travel to locations in a company-provided vehicle.You must login for self-dispatching or call into the dispatch department for information regarding your case load.Arrive at the first case at the start of your shift or leave your home thirty minutes prior.Unload portable sonographic equipment and take it into facilities to perform exams ordered by a physician.Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images.Perform and process ultrasounds using portable sonographic equipment and digitally send results for interpretation.Check voicemail from each client’s facility upon completion of assigned cases or minimally every thirty minutes as necessary.Communicate with the dispatch department every thirty minutes as necessary.Wear the company uniform and follow dress code guidelines.Respond to all urgent communications within fifteen minutes.Attend meetings as required.Ensure all orders are checked for accuracy against the exams listed in the patient’s chart as ordered by the physician.Verify the patient’s identity by asking for two identifiers, such as name and date of birth.If the patient is unable to identify themselves, obtain identification from the nurse in charge.Document the name of the identifying nurse on the requisition.Facility staff will conduct any required patient transfers and assistance.You must undergo medical physical examinations and TB screening at the time of hire and annually.Documentation of examinations must be provided to Human Resources within two weeks.Scan exam-related paperwork daily per protocol.Communicate professionally with call center, dispatch, peers, supervisory staff, and clients.Maintain your vehicle and sonographic equipment in good condition.You will maintain a high standard of medical ethics and self-motivation to enhance your understanding of the field.You are responsible for paying all motor vehicle tickets incurred.The consumption of alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, or possession of weapons is prohibited.You must communicate any changes to your criminal background and adhere to workplace policies.You should conduct yourself professionally and ethically according to the company's code of conduct.Equipment must be cared for properly, and any malfunctions should be reported to supervisors immediately.Train other technologists as required.Be self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with little to no direct supervision.Complete and successfully pass drug screening and background checks.Good organizational skills are necessary.You must be able to operate basic smartphone functions and possess basic computer skills.Knowledge of applicable regions and travel routes is required.You should maintain a pleasant phone manner and have strong communication skills.This job description includes primary responsibilities but is not exhaustive.All Sonographers are responsible for all other duties as assigned.
