Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to join the team. The successful candidate will answer calls, schedule patient examinations, collect and verify payer information, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth operations.

This full-time role features a Monday-Thursday 11:30am–8:00pm and Friday 10:30am–7:00pm schedule with weekend rotation. Prior office experience and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Proficient with using computer systems and typing.
• Able to handle multi-level phone system with a high volume of calls.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and handles calls in a professional and timely manner
• Schedules patient examinations according to existing company policy
• Obtains and records accurate personal, financial and insurance information
• Enters patient data into information systems completely and accurately
• Advises patients of financial responsibilities, preparation kits, transportation and/or eating prior to appointment
• Notifies technologists of scheduling changes to maximize patient satisfaction
• Maintains an up-to-date database of referring physicians
• Provides backup coverage for front office when needed
• Handles overflow calls for other centers within market to ensure uninterrupted exam scheduling
