Job summary

Azspineandjoint is seeking a Radiology Scheduler to streamline the advanced scheduling of radiology procedures within the hospital. The role involves gathering radiology information from doctors’ offices and providing staff with clear, organized schedules and notes, including lab work and special equipment needs.

Reports to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager and Director of Outpatient Services. Requires strong communication, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling patient data and scheduling

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital scheduling or health information systems preferred.
• Ability to interpret CPT/ICD-9 codes or radiology procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedule radiology procedures according to modality block times.
• Collect patient demographics, insurance and special scheduling notes.
• Coordinate with doctors/offices and radiology staff for timely exams.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate radiology records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff and external schedulers.
