Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a scheduling specialist for Radiology Women’s Imaging in Atlanta area. You will manage patient schedules for procedures such as biopsy and MR Breast across multiple locations, entering data, and ensuring timely radiologist previews.

The role requires accuracy, good communication, and ability to coordinate with physicians; familiarity with MS Office and medical terminology is beneficial. Shift runs 08:00AM-4:30PM with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• One year of medical clerical experience or an associate’s degree.
• Typing requirements vary by department; see requisition for requirements.
• CPR certification may be required by department; see requisition for requirement.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduling function in a streamlined environment, which is fully computerized.
• Enters data into computer systems, verifies accuracy of data input, and prints reports as necessary.
• Monitors patient schedule for biopsy, MR Breast and other procedures at several locations.
• Works with referring physician’s office to obtain documentation and arrange courier.
• Conveys results to appropriate modality and clerical area for accurate order entry.
• Modifies scheduled modalities or appointments to meet protocols.
• Maintains 30 day hold for procedures, pathology results and upcoming surgical cases.
