Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical office, scheduling, registration, or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule radiology and diagnostic imaging appointments, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging procedures.
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients, providers, and clinical staff with scheduling inquiries.
• Verify patient demographics, physician orders, and appointment details.
• Communicate appointment instructions, preparation requirements, and arrival times to patients.
• Coordinate scheduling with radiology technologists, providers, and other departments.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and update patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with appointment changes, cancellations, and rescheduling.
• Obtain and verify insurance information and assist with authorization or referral requirements as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
