Job summary

MedStar Radiology Network seeks a Radiology Manager - Quality Control, and Compliance to lead quality initiatives across its outpatient imaging centers in the greater DC/MD area.

You will drive compliance, SOP updates, and process improvements while coordinating with imaging centers and leadership to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' clinical leadership in radiology or nursing.
• Direct experience in quality improvement and process improvement.
• ARRT radiography certification and active state licensure required.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor methods for Radiology Quality, Compliance and Patient Safety.
• Provide decision-making to support program requirements and ensure integration with radiology initiatives.
• Oversee compliance with Maryland/DC regulations, FDA, MQSA and ACR.
• Collaborate with imaging center teams to improve clinical practice and SOPs.

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Quality Control Manager:

• Provides planning, executing and monitoring methods for the achievement of departmental initiatives related to enhancing and sustaining Radiology Quality, Compliance, and Patient Safety.
• Provides planning and decision-making measures that support the operational/functional requirements of each program/area and assure their integration into the overall Radiology and organizational initiatives. "Provides planning and decision-making support to meet operational requirements and ensure integration with radiology and organizational initiatives."
• Oversees Radiology Department compliance with Maryland, Washington DC, FDA, MQSA, and ACR.
• Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice, training and SOPs.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years' clinical leadership in radiology or nursing.
• Direct experience in quality improvement, planning, and process improvement.

EDUCATION

• Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Must also hold an advanced level certification in primary specialty area through ARRT or must obtain it within their first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

• Demonstrates expert process analysis skills around clinical process improvement/redesign initiatives.
• Flexible thinker, with an ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment.
• Demonstrates creativity, foresight and mature judgment in managing process workload.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with drafting, reviewing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and clarity
