Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a Radiology Program Director to oversee the Diagnostic Radiology Residency and collaborate with the Interventional Radiology Program Director. This leadership role reports to the Department Chair and works with GME and education leaders to advance innovative learning experiences for residents.

Ideal candidates will hold ABR/ABR certification and have a proven track record of excellence in education within an academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Board certification: American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (ABR/ABR)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the educational mission of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency, ensuring milestone advancement and high-quality resident education.
• Coordinate with the Interventional Radiology Program Director for IR resident oversight during the first three years.
• Foster a safe learning environment and promote interdisciplinary teamwork to support education and clinical services.
• Monitor residency outcomes and adherence to protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure supervising physicians and residents are appropriately supervised and aligned with activity levels.
• Ensure accreditation and regulatory standards are met (ACGME, Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA).
• Promote scholarly educational output and program visibility.
• Provide channels for resident feedback and concerns in a confidential manner.
• Oversee resident selection processes in a fair and equitable manner.

Education

MD/DO/PhD in radiology or related field
