Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers seeks a licensed physician to provide patient care across clinic, hospital, and other Virginia settings, within the scope of licensure, training, and UVA Health System credentials. You will assess, diagnose, and manage patients, perform and document histories and exams, and participate in on-call duties and care coordination with the health system.

• MD or DO degree with accredited residency
• Unrestricted Virginia medical license and board certification
• Current DEA certificate
• Experience using electronic medical records and scheduling systems

Responsibilities

• Provide physician services across clinic and hospital settings in Virginia
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients within scope of licensure and credentialing
• Perform and document histories, examinations, and orders for diagnostic tests
• Communicate with care teams, coordinate referrals, and guide treatment plans
• Participate in on-call responsibilities and educational activities
