Job summary
CHOC Children's is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for Radiology at the Main Campus in Orange, CA. This full-time role leads patient care delivery, supervises nursing staff and support teams, and drives quality initiatives.
The ACM will oversee staffing, mentoring, budgeting, and daily huddles, ensuring high-quality pediatric care. Minimum two years nursing experience with leadership preferred; BSN required, MSN preferred, and ANCC within 2 years of hire.
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (RN).
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Minimum one (1) year in the area of application.
- Minimum one (1) year of Charge nurse experience preferred.
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- ANCC certification within 2 years of hire.
- Lifesaving training: BLS and PALS.
Responsibilities
- Oversee patient care delivery and workflow for a designated unit.
- Supervise RNs, clinical associates, technicians, and support staff.
- Handle hiring/firing, evaluations, mentoring, and scheduling.
- Complete daily quality audits and maintain visibility boards.
- Lead staff huddles and quality meetings; ensure patient-centered care.
- Rounding with patients and families; manage fiscal considerations.
