Job summary

CHOC, located in Orange, California, seeks an Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee patient care delivery on a designated unit and supervise a team of RNs, clinicians, and support staff.

The role requires RN licensure and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing; MSN is preferred. You will lead daily huddles, quality audits, and staff meetings while rounding with patients and families to ensure high-quality, safe care.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS; ANCC specialty within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care delivery and workflow on designated unit.
• Directly supervise RNs, Clinical Associates, Technicians, and unit staff.
• Lead daily huddles, staff meetings, and quality audits; mentor staff.
• Rounding with patients and families to ensure quality, safe care.
• Manage staffing, hiring/firing, performance evaluations and employee relations.
