Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is seeking a Nurse Manager for its Radiology Department. The role oversees nursing care across diagnostic and interventional imaging, with emphasis on sedation management and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have five years of nursing experience and at least two years in a leadership position, with RN licensure and MSN considerations as described above. Strong clinical leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• Five years of nursing experience and two years of leadership experience preferred.
• MSN preferred; MSN required if undergraduate degree is not BSN.
• BLS certification required; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing practice to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with the Nursing Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Recruit, orient, educate, credential and develop staff through performance evaluation.
• Delegate via shared governance and promote research to improve outcomes.
• Participate in performance improvement to enhance care quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Assist in developing policies reflecting evidence-based practice.
• Budget oversight and resource allocation for the unit.
