Job summary

KAISER in Halethorpe, Maryland is seeking a Radiology Nurse to support imaging services with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care and patient education. You will work under Radiology physicians to implement care plans and ensure safety in procedures.

The role requires RN licensure with multi-state credentials, BLS, ACLS, and experience in interventional radiology or related areas. Strong teamwork and communication are essential in this fast-paced imaging environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in interventional radiology or interventional cardiology or peri-anesthesia or cath lab or ICU or ED or moderate sedation experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Credentials from multiple states required at hire; primary state credentials required at hire; additional credentials post hire.
• RN license in required states within 6 months of hire; compact license may apply.
• BLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Radiologist, assists physicians with procedures requiring professional nursing skills and implements medical treatment plan.
• Provides pre-procedural assessment and preparation, intra-procedural intervention and post-procedural evaluation; responds to contrast reactions and medical emergencies.
• Maintains crash carts and monitoring equipment and ensures safety during imaging procedures.
• Documents observations, interventions, and evaluations in the medical record.
• Acts as interdepartmental liaison between Imaging Center and other service departments.
