Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the Radiology and Biomedical Imaging team for an 8-hour variable day shift, Monday through Sunday with the ability to float to other campuses. The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate safe patient care around imaging procedures, including moderate sedation and contrast administration.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Radiology nursing experience.
• Ability to wear lead apron when required.
• Moderate Sedation competency.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing radiology procedures across sites.
• Prepare patients prior to radiologic procedures and assist during procedures and recovery.
• Administer moderate sedation and manage anesthesia support as needed.
• Document according to nursing standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, anesthesiologists and nursing staff.
