Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience.
• Proficient in performing MRI examinations across body regions.
• Current New Mexico license and MRI certification required.
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited program and ARRT MR certification preferred.

• Perform MRI examinations including brain, spine, joints, and extremities, with or without contrast.
• Adjust imaging parameters according to study requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards during MRI procedures.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for providing timely imaging services to both inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. The role involves managing all MRI exams for the emergency room, inpatients, and outpatients, ensuring high-quality imaging for a variety of studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations including but not limited to soft tissue, brain, spine, joints, and extremities, with or without the use of contrast media.
• Adjust imaging parameters according to specific study requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards during MRI procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Cerner EMR system.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Proficient in all MRI procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New Mexico license and MRI certification are required.
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with ARRT with an MR certification.
