Job summary

BradenHealth is seeking a Radiology Manager in Jellico, TN to lead the Medical Imaging Department under the Imaging Director. This role coordinates technical, administrative, and financial activities across all modalities, ensuring compliance with regulations and high-quality patient care.

The position demands leadership, staff supervision, and hands-on involvement in imaging workflows. Strong communication, safety adherence, and collaboration with providers are essential to success.

Qualifications

  • Requires an Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Technology program.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Minimum radiology experience in a hospital setting; management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment (x-ray, CT, MRI).
  • Evaluates image quality and accuracy for procedures and patient care.
  • Provides technical guidance and demonstrations of new techniques to staff.
  • Implements radiation safety measures and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops and enforces policies for operations and staffing in Imaging.
  • Assists in planning and procurement of imaging equipment.
  • Acts as a working manager and participates in patient care as needed.
  • Collaborates with local providers to meet service needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinates with other departments to provide required imaging services with good customer service.

Radiology Manager
General Position Summary:

The Radiology Manager is responsible for the administrative and technical direction for the Medical Imaging Department and will work report to the Imagining Director. To provide coordination of the technical, administrative, and financial activities and personnel of the Medical Imagining Department to include all modalities. Exercise professional judgment in performance of duties and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Monitors department operations to assure compliance with governmental and other regulatory agencies and meets standards set by those regulators.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees staff in operation of the imaging equipment, such as x-ray machine, fluoroscope, CT scanner, or MRI equipment.
  • Evaluates accuracy and quality of images.
  • Provides technical assistance to the staff.
  • Demonstrates new techniques, equipment, and procedures to staff.
  • Implements and monitors radiation safety measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and implements plan , policies, and procedures regarding operations and staffing .
  • Assists the planning and purchasing of imaging equipment.
  • Considered a working manager and will need to assist in patient care.
  • Works closely with local providers to exceed their needs by having a results-oriented approach.
  • Works closely with other departments to provide needed services, timely and effectively with good customer service skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • The ability to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Demonstrate organizational ability to maintain and coordinate multiple forms and paper documentation related to patient care .
  • Ability to multi-task and consistently communicate in a professional manner
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast paced, at times stressful environment
  • Computer proficiency
  • Upper level typing/computer skills and proficiency
Work Experience, Education, and Certifications:
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Current CPR certification or successful completion of Basic Life Support within 60 days of employment.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiology Technology
  • Desirable characteristics include at least 8 years of Radiology experience in hospital related field.
  • At least 2 years of Radiology management experience preferred, not required.
