Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking a Radiology/Mammography Technologist I to perform radiographic and mammographic studies, ensuring patient safety and assisting during examinations. The role includes completing required paperwork, charging, and supporting regulatory tasks for mammography.

Eligible candidates will have an AMA-approved mammography course, California licensure within 6 months of hire, and at least one year of x-ray experience, plus basic clerical/computer skills.

  • Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure or licensure within 6 months of hire.
  • At least 1 year of experience in x-ray.

  • Commitment to attendance and punctuality as per policies.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and perform radiographic and mammographic studies.
  • Produce radiographs and organize images; complete paperwork and charges.
  • Ensure patient safety and assist patients during examinations.
  • Assist with clerical duties and regulatory tasks for mammography.
  • Report equipment malfunctions; inspect and clean equipment prior to use.

Job Description

At NorthBay Health the Radiology/Mammography Technologist I Observes prior to license, once license received, performs radiographic and mammographic studies. Produces radiographs and organizes images, completes the required paperwork and charges. Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Assists with clerical duties and mammography regulatory tasks. Reports all equipment malfunctions. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an AMA approved mammography course.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current California Radiographic andMammographic Technologist licensure obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in x-ray.
  • Skills: Basic clerical and computer experience.
  • Standards of Performance: Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedures and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality.
  • Physical Effort: Attendance is an essential function of the job. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to assist moving patients. Capable of carrying a weight of thirty pounds a distance of fifty feet.
Compensation

Hourly salary range MIN$66.52 - MAX$80.84 (offered hourly rate is based on years of experience)

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
