Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a full-time role in Morristown, NJ. The ideal candidate performs mammographic procedures and stereotactic biopsies, ensuring quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, maintaining safety standards, and mentoring teammates while staying compliant with MQSA and state regulations. Epic and PACS proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold NJ DEP X-ray license.
• ARRT Mammography certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• 18+ CME credits in Mammography recommended (15+).
• Training in 2D/3D mammography must be documented.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic examinations and breast biopsy procedures.
• Review patient records to ensure available information for Radiologist.
• Maintain department cleanliness and comply with safety standards.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients with cultural sensitivity.
• Complete Epic/PACS functions accurately and timely.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students.
• Maintain licensure and CME per MQSA standards.
• Ensure MQSA compliance for all mammographic exams.

Schedule

Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM (with flexibility to fill day shifts)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist skilled in stereotactic biopsies, breast interventions, and diagnostic exams. The Mammography Technologist will perform mammographic procedures according to state and federal standards while ensuring patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic examinations, bone density, and breast biopsy procedures accurately.
• Review patient records to ensure availability of all pertinent information for Radiologist.
• Practice universal precautions and maintain cleanliness of assigned work area and equipment.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures, including National Patient Safety Goals.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, respecting their cultural differences.
• Work independently, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills.
• Complete all necessary computer functions (e.g., Epic, PACS) accurately and timely.
• Assist with the training and mentoring of new team members or students.
• Maintain required licensure and continuing medical education (CME) per MQSA standards.
• Ensure compliance with MQSA standards for mammographic exams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NJ DEP X-ray License
• ARRT certification verified in Mammography
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Up to date with 15 current Mammography continuing education credits
• 8 hours of documented training in both 2D and 3D mammography
• Documented specific training in stereotactic biopsies
