Qualifications

• 5+ years of core imaging technologies experience including PACS admin and DICOM/RIS workflows.
• 5+ years radiology applications experience with major imaging viewers and vendors.
• 5+ years in imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography.
• 5+ years in interface and integration tech including HL7, DICOM, TCP/IP and VPN.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support PACS environments across sites.
• Manage DICOM routing, modality worklists, archiving, and image lifecycle tasks.
• Support radiology workflows and integrations between PACS, VNA, EMR/EHR, and RIS.
• Troubleshoot HL7 interfaces (ORM/ORU/ADT) and optimize image distribution.
• Assist radiologists with visualization platforms and viewer performance.
• Provide L2 support for radiology applications and coordinate vendor fixes.

We are currently seeking a Radiology IT Support Engineer - L2 to join our team in Frisco, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

We are seeking an experienced Radiology IT Support Engineer (L2) to provide advanced support, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of radiology imaging environments. The role involves supporting enterprise PACS, VNA, diagnostic workstations, advanced visualization platforms, and radiology workflow applications across multi-site healthcare environments.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in DICOM, HL7 integrations, modality connectivity, radiology infrastructure, and imaging workflow management, ensuring high availability and operational excellence of clinical imaging systems.

Day to Day job Duties:

PACS & Imaging Systems Administration

• Administer, monitor, and support PACS environments, ensuring uninterrupted image acquisition, storage, retrieval, and distribution.
• Manage DICOM routing, modality worklists, image lifecycle management, archiving, and retention policies.
• Support enterprise and multi-site imaging workflows across hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers.
• Perform PACS upgrades, configuration changes, patch deployments, and system maintenance activities.

Radiology Workflow & Integration Support

• Support integration of radiology modalities
• Ensure seamless interoperability between PACS, VNA, EMR/EHR, RIS, and diagnostic workstation environments.
• Troubleshoot HL7 interfaces including ORM, ORU, and ADT message flows.
• Resolve imaging workflow issues related to order management, exam routing, study reconciliation, and image distribution.

Advanced Visualization & Post-Processing Support

• Support advanced visualization platforms and diagnostic imaging applications.
• Assist radiologists and clinicians with workflow optimization and application usability issues.

Viewer & DICOM Utility Management

• Support diagnostic viewers, web viewers, and zero-footprint image viewing solutions.
• Manage DICOM utilities, QA tools, image-sharing platforms, and external image exchange systems.
• Troubleshoot viewer performance issues, image rendering problems, and study accessibility concerns.

Application & System Support

• Provide L2 support for radiology applications
• Coordinate with vendors and infrastructure teams for issue resolution

Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve:
  • Modality connectivity issues
  • DICOM communication failures
  • HL7 interface errors
  • Exam routing issues
  • Image transmission delays
  • Radiologist workstation performance issues
  • Application and database-related problems
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $68,076 – 118,188. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
