Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an Interventional Radiology Tech for a 13-week assignment in Missouri. The candidate will perform diagnostic and invasive IR procedures, assist during procedures, and operate imaging equipment while maintaining radiation safety standards. Must have ARRT (R) license and BLS from AHA.

Minimum two years of IR experience is required. Shift is Days; hours per shift: 08. Division-based responsibilities include scrub support and patient monitoring throughout the procedure.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification (R) is required.
• Minimum of two years Interventional Radiology experience.
• BLS certification from AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and invasive procedures in Interventional Radiology.
• Assist during procedures (scrub) and record images using imaging equipment.
• Operate imaging systems to produce high-quality examinations while following radiation safety protocols.
• Administer contrast materials and review medication reconciliation for contraindications.
• Monitor patients before, during and after procedures and assist with transfers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the care team.

Description:The Special Procedures Technologist should be proficient in performing diagnostic and invasive procedures of various anatomy and pathology.Supports the care team during procedures, including scrub assistance, recording images, and properly operating essential patient care equipment.Consistently operates special procedures imaging equipment to produce optimal quality examinations in accordance with prescribed radiation safety practices.Correctly administers contrast materials for patient exams.Reviews Medication reconciliation forms for potential contraindications prior to administration of any contrast.Locates and properly operates essential patient care equipment, including oxygen, suction, and blood pressure devices.Consistently observes patients before, during, and after procedures while utilizing appropriate immobilization and patient transfer devices.Performs other duties as assigned.
