Description:The Special Procedures Technologist should be proficient in performing diagnostic and invasive procedures of various anatomy and pathology.Supports the care team during procedures, including scrub assistance, recording images, and properly operating essential patient care equipment.Consistently operates special procedures imaging equipment to produce optimal quality examinations in accordance with prescribed radiation safety practices.Correctly administers contrast materials for patient exams.Reviews Medication reconciliation forms for potential contraindications prior to administration of any contrast.Locates and properly operates essential patient care equipment, including oxygen, suction, and blood pressure devices.Consistently observes patients before, during, and after procedures while utilizing appropriate immobilization and patient transfer devices.Performs other duties as assigned.
