Job summary

The Image Processing Assistant at Saint Peter's Healthcare System will support the CT Unit by greeting patients and guiding them to the correct areas, and by processing radiology imaging requests.

This role requires solid administrative and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to explain preparations clearly. It includes assist with patient transport and occasional scheduling support.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Solid administrative skills to compose short correspondence and memos.
• Superior communication skills to interact with patients and internal/external customers.
• Must be computer literate and able to master new systems.
• Intermediate technical skills and ability to communicate technical information to individuals or groups.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

Image Processing Assistant

CT Unit

The Image Processing Assistant will:

• Receive patients, and their families and directing them to the appropriate areas
• Process all radiology imaging requests
• Answer phones
• As needed, act as a back up to the Radiology Scheduling Staff, schedules routine appointments and explains any necessary preparations with complete accuracy
• Patient transport

Requirements:

• Requires HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Solid administrative skills to compose short correspondence and memos.
• Superior communication skills to interact with our patients as well as internal and external customers.
• Must be computer literate, possess the ability to adapt to new systems and master them upon training.
• Intermediate technical skills necessary as well as the ability to communicate technical information to individuals or in a small group setting.
• Problem solving and analytical skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Salary Range:17.00 - 22.95 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
