Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health in the United States is seeking a Radiation Information Support Associate to manage image imports, records distribution, and electronic record maintenance within the Department of Radiology. The role involves importing images into McKesson, handling archival processes, and coordinating with outside facilities to obtain reports and records.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 10:30a–7pm, with no weekends or on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in supporting Radiology image management and PACS workflows plus a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Or Minimum of six (6) months of experience in computer operations, data entry and/or electronic record information management plus an Associates Degree in Radiology Technology, Information Technology, Health Information Management or closely related field from an accredited program

Responsibilities

• Handles image imports and records distribution and electronic record maintenance for the Department of Radiology
• Imports images into McKesson; processes image archival, outside consult, CD create request and appropriate document transfer
• Utilizes image application to import images from outside CD’s into PACS
• Communicates with other facilities to obtain image reports/records
• Creates new patient image record and medical record accounts; merges outside images with existing patient accounts
