Job summary

Intermountain Health's Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT seeks a Radiologic Technologist for PRN coverage to perform diagnostic imaging exams with ARRT certification and to ensure high-quality imaging results. You will collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to maintain safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include maintaining competency, preparing patients, reviewing images for quality, and educating patients while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • ARRT(R) certification required.
  • Radiologic technologist license in the practicing state.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers.
  • May complete MA Competency Checklist for clinic or InstaCare.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions.
  • Prepare patient, verify orders, and identify patients properly.
  • Perform exams, review images for quality and accuracy.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
  • Complete studies within acceptable time while ensuring patient care.
  • Instruct students and other techs on protocols and equipment.
  • Provide patient education and address concerns.
  • Follow infection control and sterile techniques.
  • Operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
  • Keep accurate records of procedures and any adverse reactions.
  • Follow protocols for necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting failures.
