Job summary

Jacksonville Memorial Hospital is seeking an on-site support role to assist the Medical Imaging team. The position includes clerical duties for patient registration in the Radiology Information System, patient transport, and assistance during imaging exams, with emphasis on safety, comfort, and infection control.

Required is a High School diploma and active BLS/CPR within 30 days of hire; clerical experience preferred, with strong guest relations and phone handling skills.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire; maintain per policy.
• clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills required.
• Perform clerical duties for patient registration into the Radiology information System.
• Stock rooms and assist imaging staff with inventory.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Medical Imaging Technologist to ensure promptness and efficiency of patient care.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging exams.
• Transport patient to and from the imaging procedure room.
• Take call as required.
• Load pressure injectors per Radiologist protocol.
• Mix oral contrast under licensed staff guidance.
• Maintain infection control and clean work environment.
