Job summary

Vibra Travels seeks a skilled Sonographer to join its traveling care network. You will perform diagnostic imaging across settings, ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality exams.

Requirements include ARDMS, active state licensure, and 2+ years in the specialty. Travel is involved, with competitive hourly pay and travel stipends where applicable.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required.
• Active Sonographer license in the state of employment.
• Completion of obstetrics/gynecology, cardiac, vascular, or musculoskeletal certificate program as required.
• Two years of recent experience in the specialty.
• Driver's license with ability to travel.
• Ability to travel by air and ground transportation.
• Recent acute care/LTAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for procedures ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report findings to the physician.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current ARDMS required.
• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Sonographer in the state of employment required.
• Completion of specialized (obstetrics and gynecology, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal) certificate program as required
• Two (2) years of recent experience in area of specialty required.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
• Recent acute care experience for acute care and LTAC placements

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Patient Preparation and Positioning: Accurately position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety while adhering to radiation protection protocols.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT scanners, and ultrasound machines, to obtain high-quality images.
• Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients during procedures, observing for any complications or unusual events, and report findings to the physician.
