Job summary

Middlesex Health in Middletown, CT, invites a qualified Radiology Coordinator to oversee daily imaging operations within the Urgent Care setting. You will supervise staff, coordinate workflow, and ensure high-quality patient imaging services.

This role emphasizes QC/QA, mentoring, and collaboration with radiology and Urgent Care teams. A JRCERT-accredited radiography program, ARRT certification/eligibility, and CT/other modality experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• ARRT Certification/Eligible in good standing.
• State of Connecticut License/Eligible.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience as Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• 1–3 years leadership experience including coaching and schedules.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Two or more imaging modalities expertise.
• Strong communication and interaction with healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures.
• Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints.
• Mentor staff and problem solve at a high level.
• Perform QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance.
• Conduct QA checks for technicians and provide training when necessary.
• Record errors or incidents with technicians.
• Act as liaison between Radiology Department and Urgent Care clinics.
• Demonstrate teamwork and professionalism across patient services.
