Job summary

MU Health Care in Columbia, MO seeks a Radiology Equipment Support II to manage the lifecycle of advanced imaging devices and provide high-level technical support to radiology users. You will handle complex repairs and ensure imaging systems operate safely and effectively on-site.

The role collaborates with Engineering Services, IT/ISO, and clinical staff, requiring strong diagnostic skill, hands-on maintenance, and precise documentation in maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Two pathways for qualifications: an associate's degree with four years hospital imaging service experience, or a bachelor’s degree with three years hospital imaging service experience.
• Preferred certifications such as CRES or CBET are a plus; other licensing/certifications may be determined by the hiring department.
• Experience with imaging service and device lifecycle management is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of complex imaging devices and systems.
• Resolve complex equipment failures with patient safety implications using imaging techniques and radiological practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering Services, IT and ISO teams as needed.
• Use advanced radiological test equipment (dosimeters, calibration phantoms, HV testers, KV/MA meters) and general test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• Manage lifecycle of medical devices including life support, dialysis and monitoring systems; plan end-of-life replacements with clinical services.
• Maintain timely documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
