Job summary

Catalytic Solutions (CatSol) seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our New Jersey operations. You will assist physicians, operate imaging equipment, and ensure safety and quality in radionuclide procedures.

Responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, verifying imaging studies, and maintaining accurate records while providing compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
• ARRT or NMTCB registry.

Responsibilities

• Operate Nuclear Medicine equipment with precision and care.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in a timely and safe manner.
• Calibrate equipment and accurately assay radio nuclides.
• Receive and inspect radiopharmaceutical packages according to NRC/state guidelines.
• Maintain meticulous records of radioisotope transactions in compliance with regulations.
• Rotate assignments including Cardiology and PET/CT.
• Complete daily clerical tasks in EPIC, Teletracking, and Nuclear Medicine Information System.

Job description

• Exciting Opportunity for Nuclear Medicine Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Ensure patient comfort by providing immobilization devices as required.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine equipment with precision and care.
• Evaluate radio images using the PACS System to confirm proper identification and diagnostic quality.
• Prioritize radiation protection for yourself and the patient by adhering to safety protocols.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in a timely and safe manner.
• Conduct radionuclide procedures including organ imaging and function studies, assisting physicians with radioisotope therapy under safe conditions.
• Prepare radioactive tracer compounds for innovative patient use.
• Calibrate equipment and accurately assay radio nuclides.
• Receive and inspect radiopharmaceutical packages according to state and NRC guidelines.
• Maintain meticulous records of radioisotope transactions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Uphold cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring contamination-free conditions for rooms, equipment, and personnel.
• Follow all NRC and State JCAHO guidelines and practices diligently.
• Rotate work assignments as necessary, including Cardiology and PET/CT.
• Complete daily clerical tasks using EPIC, Teletracking System, Nuclear Medicine Information System, and patient scheduling.
• Engage with patients upon arrival for exams, utilizing A.I.D.E.T. standards.
• Adapt care delivery based on the unique needs of diverse patient populations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers at an appropriate level of understanding. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced hospital setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. **Required Education:** - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology required. **Required Certifications & Licensure:** - Valid NJDEP license.
• ARRT or NMTCB registry.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association. **Schedule:** - 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8 hour shifts (M, Tu, Th).
• Two Wednesdays a month as needed.
