Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Technologist Aide to support patient intake and front-line radiology services. You will greet patients, verify information, collect copays, and coordinate appointments while assisting technologists and safeguarding PHI and medications.

A medical office background helps ensure efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Requires a High School Diploma and 1 year of medical office experience; BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register patients, collect copays, verify information, notify arrival and reschedule as needed.
• Obtain insurance/authorizations, collect signatures, ensure documentation is complete.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Ensure sterilization of equipment and tools before patient exams.
• Assist technologists with patients and maintain PHI/privacy.
• Safeguard medications on site according to policies and law.
• Protect cash and patient financial information on-site or in patient portals.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and public in clinical settings.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
