Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform a range of ultrasound studies and support radiologists with accurate imaging. This full-time role emphasizes patient-centered care and continuous education within a community hospital setting.

The position requires ARRT/DMS certification, BLS, and preference for ARRT with at least one year of DMS experience. Join a team dedicated to high-quality diagnostic imaging and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of diagnostic medical sonography program or school of radiology.
  • ARRT/DMS certification.
  • BLS.
  • ARRT with one (1) year DMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality ultrasound studies including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast and testicular exams for radiology.
  • Maintains files, supplies and equipment.
  • Performs sonographic examinations as requested by the referring physician.
  • Provides age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Maintains and calibrates equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Acts as a consultant and educational resource for physicians and staff on scans.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

How you\'ll contribute

An Ultrasound Technician who excels in this role:

  • Provides quality ultrasound studies to include abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular small parts for use by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness.
  • Maintains appropriate files, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Maintain supplies and ensure clean and orderly work areas; notify supervisor of needed items.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.
  • Act as a consultant and educational resource for physicians and staff regarding appropriateness and accuracy of scans.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

What we\'re looking for

Applicants should be a graduate of diagnostic medical sonography program or school of radiology. Additional requirements include:

  • ARRT/DMS certification.

  • BLS.

  • ARRT with one (1) year DMS experience preferred.
