Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Radiologist to join its Department of Radiology as Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency. The role oversees resident education, milestones, and faculty development within a dynamic, expanding department.

Qualifications

• American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology Certified
• Minimum of three years of experience as a faculty member for an ACGME accredited Diagnostic Radiology program
• Meets all Program Director requirements as outlined in the ACGME (or other accrediting body) program requirements
• Experience working within a university/academic medical center setting
• Demonstrated excellence as an educator and administrator
• Preferred: Minimum of five years of experience as an attending following completion of Radiology subspecialty training
• Preferred: Two or more years of experience serving in an educational leadership capacity

Responsibilities

• Lead the educational mission of the training program ensuring trainee milestone advancement and oversight of faculty teaching/role modeling
• Ensure cutting-edge educational opportunities in Diagnostic Radiology are brought to OSU
• Foster a safe learning environment with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Assess residency quality outcome metrics for education and patient care
• Ensure supervision and trainee activity aligns with OSUWMC standards and skill/knowledge
• Ensure OSUWMC meets accreditation/regulatory standards (ACGME, Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA) and other bodies
• Promote educational scholarly output for the radiology program
• Provide a learning environment for feedback and open communication with residents
• Oversee the resident selection process in an equitable manner
