Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Educator to lead clinical education within the Radiology Department. You will develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate programs that support staff competency, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and patient safety.

The role involves collaboration with leadership to ensure onboarding success, continuing education, professional growth, and adherence to accreditation standards and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with a Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of full-time experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in a hospital.
• 3–5 years of leadership or educator experience.
• ARRT registration and BLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Strong educational and mentoring abilities; knowledge of regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, and evaluates orientation, onboarding, competency validation, continuing education, and professional development programs for Radiology personnel and students.
• Collaborates with department leadership to identify educational needs and workforce development opportunities.
• Develops and maintains departmental education materials, policies, and clinical practice guidelines.
• Monitors education records and ensures compliance with mandatory education and regulatory standards.
• Coordinates accreditation readiness, regulatory surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives related to education and clinical practice.
• Provides instruction, competency assessment, and professional development as a clinical educator and mentor.
• Coordinates student clinical education programs and liaises with educational institutions.
• Supports curriculum alignment and educational partnerships with academic faculty.
• Facilitates education on new technologies, equipment, workflows, and evidence-based practice.
• Uses quality metrics to identify educational opportunities and drive performance improvement.
