Summary

This position is responsible for performing imaging procedures and producing high-quality diagnostic computed tomography images.

Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images; maintain knowledge and skills to meet diagnostic expectations; complete documentation; adhere to policies regarding quality, safety, patient flow, and other issues.
  • Collaborate with radiology and departmental staff to facilitate optimal patient care; participate in departmental and hospital processes and activities.
  • Participate in training to develop or enhance skills; obtain and maintain licensure and certification; contribute to patient and student education as appropriate.
  • Assist in the Diagnostic x-ray department as needed.
Work Experience

At least 2 years of job-related experience (preferred).

Education
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience (required).
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
  • ARRT in Radiography (required upon hire).
  • ARRT in CT (required upon hire).
  • Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license (required upon hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (required upon hire).
