Job summary

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks a healthcare analytics professional with a strong background in clinical systems and data architecture. The role emphasizes designing and delivering analytics, dashboards, and data solutions for clinical applications.

  • Strong analytical skills with documentation, reporting, tests, and data analysis.
  • Ability to advise senior staff on functionality, efficiency, policy, and performance.

Job description

  • Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare analytics, clinical systems, or data architecture required.
  • Broad and / or in-depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s). Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical applications users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
  • Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in T‑SQL, including writing complex queries involving multi‑table joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and stored procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Tableau or similar business intelligence platform, including development of interactive dashboards. Candidates may be asked to present examples of dashboards they have built.
  • Current Epic Clarity Data Model certification in at least one module
