Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Cat Scan Technologist for a 13-week contract. The role involves performing CT procedures, reviewing clinical history, administering contrast, and ensuring accurate documentation in PACS.

You will also participate in interventional and therapeutic procedures as needed. The ideal candidate holds ARRT-CT and BLS certifications, with 1–2 years CT experience and familiarity with PACS (Fuji) and EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• CT experience: minimum 1 year, 2 years preferred.
• Post processing, PACS (Fuji) knowledge required.
• EPIC EMR knowledge preferred.
• ARRT-CT certification is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT procedures with professional judgment.
• Review patient history and document into PACS.
• Prepare and review accuracy of the contrast questionnaire.
• Identify and administer contrast media as prescribed.
• Verify appropriateness of exam prescriptions and communicate with medical professionals.
• Obtain outside studies and make them available in PACS for comparison.
• Provide exam copies to patients and physicians.
• Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic value.
• Prepare patients for scanning and inform them accordingly.
• Perform venipuncture and monitor patient conditions during procedures.
• Adhere to attendance policy and complete scheduled shifts.
• Identify and address patient needs with effective communication.

Job Description

The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation and assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT procedures with professional judgment.
• Review and obtain patient clinical history, documenting into PACS.
• Prepare and review accuracy of the contrast questionnaire.
• Identify and administer contrast media as prescribed.
• Verify appropriateness of exam prescriptions and communicate with medical professionals.
• Obtain outside studies, ensuring their availability in PACS for radiologist comparison.
• Provide exam copies to patients and their physicians.
• Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic value.
• Prepare patients for scanning, ensuring they are adequately informed.
• Perform venipuncture and monitor patient conditions during procedures.
• Adhere to attendance policy and complete scheduled shifts.
• Identify and cater to patient needs, ensuring effective communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT required; 2 years preferred.
