Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

10:00 PM - 8:00 AM (Monday - Thursday) / No Holidays

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

In this role, you will assist radiologists and other physicians by providing high-quality computerized tomographic and radiographic images needed for patient diagnosis and treatment. Your focus will be on minimizing radiation exposure to patients and yourself while ensuring general patient care within the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform computerized tomography studies in accordance with established protocols, differentiating between normal and abnormal anatomy.
• Administer IV and oral contrast for procedures, monitoring patients' conditions throughout the exams and recording relevant data.
• Implement radiation protection measures for patients, self, and others; document as required.
• Assist radiologists with sterile procedures, obtain vital signs, pertinent clinical history, and exhibit proficiency in venous puncture.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to allergic reactions or urgent medical conditions, assisting the radiologist as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of CT experience - Required
• Ability to perform X-Ray - Required
• Toshiba CT Scanner experience - Preferred
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification - Required
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - Required
