Description:The CT Tech independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and the administration of contrast media.They work under their scope of practice and in accordance with certification/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.The CT Tech coordinates patient flow and activities related to the CT scanner.They may perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs and may have on-call responsibilities.The candidate must be comfortable floating based on departmental needs with no restrictions or special requests.Experience with Epic charting system is required.The candidate must also demonstrate knowledge in diagnostic radiographic procedures, radiation safety, and preparation/administration of contrast media.
