Job summary

South Carolina Department of Corrections is seeking a radiology technologist to perform radiologic and CT exams and coordinate imaging services for facilities statewide. You will work with patients in varied emotional states and assist with exam setup and documentation, while ensuring quality control and patient safety.

The role includes supervising radiology staff, maintaining PACS and paperwork, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

A high school diploma is required and experience or training in the work area.
ARRT credentials in Computed Tomography (CT) are required.
Two years’ experience as X-ray and CT technologist is required.
Typing and administrative skills are essential to carry out functions of X-ray and CT clinic.

Responsibilities

Obtain radiologic and CT examinations as ordered by medical staff.
Work with patients who may be nervous or have limited mobility.
Maintain and perform basic maintenance on related equipment.
Maintain PACS system audit, upload CDS, and ensure radiology paperwork is available to radiologist.
Schedule clinic visits for x-ray and CT services statewide.
Update X-ray and CT procedures and ensure compliance with IC, OSHA and DPH requirements.
Present nursing orientation related to radiology workflows and procedures.
Supervise radiology staff and manage daily divisional operations.
Ensure adherence to clinical and agency protocols and procedures.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with interdisciplinary managers.
