Job summary

The Colorado Department of Corrections is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Denver Complex to perform high-quality radiographs for offenders and support medical staff with diagnostic imaging. You will operate X-ray equipment, ensure safety protocols, and prepare digital images for radiologists while maintaining accurate documentation.

Required ARRT certification, an associates degree in Radiologic Technology, and at least one year of professional radiology experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification as Radiologic Technologist required.
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or closely related field.
• One year of professional experience as a Radiology Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate radiological orders to determine positioning, test procedures, and protective measures.
• Operate fixed and portable X-ray machines according to guidelines.
• Produce high-quality radiographs to assist medical staff in diagnosis.
• Prepare digital images for radiologist review and log exams.
• Travel to other facilities within the state as needed to perform radiologic tests.
