Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse in Radiology for full-time evening shifts (11am–11:30pm) in Chicago. This role requires an RN licensed in Illinois, a BSN or higher, and BLS certification, with weekend coverage every six weeks.

The nurse will coordinate care, advocate for patients, and work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding outcomes. The position emphasizes nursing practice standards, ethical compliance, professional growth, and commitment to the NMH values

Qualifications

Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
Analytic ability.
Oral, listening and written communication skills.
Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others.
Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.

Responsibilities

Advocates in accordance with patient-centered care model and develops individualized nursing plans.
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to advance patient plans and outcomes.
Delivers evidence-based nursing care, monitors responses, and documents findings.
Maintains a safe environment and adheres to ethical standards of practice.
Mentors and precepts new team members; participates in peer feedback and education.
Engages in quality improvement initiatives and policy development to enhance care.
