Qualifications

• Knowledge of radiography tools, techniques and applications, ability to utilize imaging technology on patients for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.

• Knowledge of equipment used in clinical diagnosis, treatment and monitoring, ability to manage medical equipment per policies.
• Knowledge of coaching concepts to guide staff for learning and improvement.
• Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and handling of radiology materials.

• Conducts on-going reviews to ensure quality of work, including reviews for Quality Assurance reports.
• Precepts new staff, developing staff and facilities to meet new and existing needs.
• Organizes and coordinates services, oversees operations per hospital policies.
• Monitors and controls patient flow to optimize unit productivity.

Reporting to the Radiology Manager, this position will maintain ~60% clinical duties, with the remainder of time spent in coordinating departmental operations and providing guidance to staff.

Essential Functions

• Assures that departmental policy and procedure standards are implemented in all aspects of operation.
• Assists with departmental staffing schedules in order to ensure appropriate turnaround times are consistently maintained.

• Experience - Required: 5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required: Knowledge of radiography tools, techniques and applications, ability to utilize imaging technology on patients for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required: Knowledge of radiographic equipment and processes, ability to use this knowledge to review and evaluate images generated in order to ensure their adequate quality for diagnostic activities.

• Licenses and Certifications - Required: CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
• Additional Qualifications: May require travel between Jefferson sites.
• Additional Qualifications: Obtain IV certification as necessary and administer contrast agent as required.
• Additional Qualifications: Advanced certifications modality specific preferred, ex: MRSO, RVT, PET, CT.
