Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support radiology staff and ensure patient prep, transport, and safety across the Main Hospital and satellite facilities.

You will assist technologists, enter data into HIS/RIS systems, help maintain equipment, and communicate with radiologists and clinicians in a calm, professional manner while handling multiple tasks in a 24/7 department.

Qualifications

• AHA/BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to transport patients within a hospital setting.
• Accurate data entry into Hospital Information System (IS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Understanding of Radiology procedures, equipment, supplies and drugs.
• Ability to work safely around ionizing radiation and in a cool environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiology staff support and assist with patient care and preparation.
• Assist with data entry and equipment maintenance.
• Answer phone lines and coordinate patient transport as needed.
• Interact professionally with radiology staff, clinicians and patients.
