Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses in Bel Air, MD seeks a Cath Lab Tech to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and patient safety throughout. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

Shifts offered include 3x12 hours or 4x10 hours with on-call scheduling. Requires 1 year Cath Lab experience, ARRT-R/RCIS, BLS and ACLS, plus ability to cover on-call nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year Cath Lab experience required.
• Licensure: ARRT-R and/or RCIS accepted.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required.
• On-call coverage including weeknights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures.
• Set up and maintain equipment in the Cath Lab.
• Monitor patients during procedures and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Assist with implant procedures and manage sterile fields.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures.
• Set up and maintain equipment in the Cath Lab.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, including recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Assist with implant procedures and manage sterile fields.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of recent/strong Cath Lab experience required; will accept first-time travelers.
• Licensure: ARRT-R and/or RCIS accepted.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required.
• Ability to provide on-call coverage for approximately 8 weeknights and 4 weekends within a 6-week schedule.
