Qualifications

• Must have ARRT Radiologist Assistant program credential and Florida DOH certification.
• ARRT active status and BLS certification required.
• Active background check clearance and credentialing for NCHS required.
• Graduate of authorized radiologist assistant program or equivalent.
• Experience with imaging procedures and radiation safety protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated clinical tasks under Florida-licensed radiologist supervision.
• Prepare patients for imaging and image-guided procedures; verify orders and consent.
• Position patients, assist with immobilization, and ensure patient comfort.
• Support setup, room readiness, and workflow coordination; perform timeouts.
• Document pre/post-procedure notes accurately in the medical record.
• Apply radiation safety practices and ensure ALARA compliance.
• Execute equipment and supply checks; report malfunctions promptly.
• Communicate critical information to care team and participate in handoffs.

Education

Master's degree or higher (ARRT-approved radiologist assistant program)

Florida DOH Radiology Assistant certification

ARRT active certification

American Heart Association BLS

Level II Background Check
