Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
• Complete required trainings within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist imaging technologists with patient workflow and positioning.
• Check and maintain wheelchairs and oxygen tanks; report defects.
• Verify patient identity and escort patients to waiting and scanning areas.
• Perform point-of-care renal function screening.
• Start IV for contrast injection per technologist direction.
• Document scans in EMR per technologist instruction.
• Use safe lifting techniques and assist with patient transfers.
• Report abnormal patient symptoms to appropriate medical personnel.
• Support the Imaging Services Director, Operations Manager, Floor Coordinator, or Principal Technologist as assigned.
• Maintain working knowledge of EMR and PACS systems.

Skills

Experience with EMR systems (Cerner preferred)
