Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Clerk to admit and register patients and support the Radiology department.

This role focuses on delivering excellent patient service to patients, families, physicians and staff, while upholding hospital mission and privacy standards. The Radiology Clerk will verify orders and patient information, perform pre-registration, handle insurance verification, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical registration experience, radiology terminology and basic office skills preferred.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Admits and registers patients accurately and timely.
• Verifies physician orders, patient information and insurance details.
• Performs pre-registration of patients.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and authorization information online.
• Creates patient visit in Registration from scheduled visit.
• Collects patient liabilities at admission and assists with collecting payments.
• Scans documents to the system with correct placement.
• Ensures all required information is signed and scanned at admission.
• Provides exemplary customer service and welcomes patients with courtesy.
• Communicates effectively with colleagues, patients, physicians and others.
• Documents concisely and accurately in the system.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs to the appropriate destination.
• Abides by HIPAA policies.
